sequa is a development organisation operating worldwide, promoting the development of the private sector and its business membership organisations as well as qualification of skilled employees and managers. sequa’s programmes and projects are both publicly and privately funded and are oriented at the principles of a social market economy. sequa is a non-profit company whose shareholders are Germany‘s top business membership organisations (BDA, BDI, DIHK, ZDH) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
sequa‘s aim is to sustainably improve the living and working conditions of as many individuals as possible, by achieving this in cooperation with partners at home and abroad. The most important project partners are business membership organisations, vocational training centres and private companies. Efficiency, result-orientation, and quality are paramount to sequa. The team members assume a high degree of personal self-responsibility in their work. Sequa’s internal and external communication is open and transparent. The management style is target-oriented, cooperative and characterised by fast decision-making. The achievements are based on a team approach.
Within the develoPPP program sequa funds the Recruitment and Training Programme on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. The Public Private Partnership project started in July 2016 and runs until July 2018. Within this period, sequa funds the project with 200.000 €. On a regular basis BHS Corrugated reports on the project development and it’s costs. Quarterly the settlement for three months is handed in and every 6 months an interim report is prepared.
